This is the page for the Combinatorics and Topology Learning seminar run by me. We will broadly look at the intersection of combinatorics and topology. If this sounds crazy to you, just remember that "Algebraic Topology" used to be called "Combinatorial Topology". Each term will have a slightly different flair to it. Summer 2026
This term we will study the Poset Topology by Michelle Wachs. You can find a link to this paper here.
The location and time are Mondays 2-3pm in MC 6029, starting May 25th.

- Monday June 15: Matteus Froese, Top dimensional cohomology of the partition lattice and the homology of shellable complexes.
- Monday June 22: Guilherme Zeus Dantas e Moura, Introduction to Representation theory of the symmetric group.

- Monday July 13: Matteus Froese, Introduction to Shellability.
Fall 2025
This term started a bit late, but we are studying the moduli space of graphs.
The location and time are Wednesdays 3:30-4:30pm in MC 6483.
